The FBC Missions Bazaar has been held the first Saturday in December since 1985. The bazaar exists for the sole purpose of supplementing our Lottie Moon Christmas offering through the sale of cakes, pies, jams, jellies, frozen foods, handmade articles of furniture, wreaths, Christmas items and trees, clothing, etc, all made or furnished by approximately 150 men and women of the church. This number includes all volunteers working at the bazaar.

Our world has experienced much suffering during the past few years: thousands of lives victimized by Tsunami and hurricanes flooding sections of New Orleans, Mississippi and Alabama. How many of those  who lost their lives were Christians? Only God knows, but we do know that victims of Tsunami had not been reached by the Gospel.

It is these large groups of people in Asia and Africa that our International Missions Board is prioritizing the location of new missionaries. Many young people are accepting the challenge to risk their lives for Christ, aware of the dangers they face. What can we do? Pray? Yes! But we also support them through our gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering.

Over the years, FBC has been blessed by many energetic, loving and faithful members who have enriched and inspired us. Since 1985, proceeds from the bazaars totalled $210,758.72. This is in addition to meeting our church goal donations by members and a reflection of the dedication of these members. Although some members leave us and their support is missed, new members join and carry on the purpose of the Missions Bazaar, "Dedicated to the Glory of God."
