Children are very important to God as seen in Luke 18:16 - "But Jesus called the children to Him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'"

Children are also important to us at First Baptist Church! Our children's ministry vision is: All children learning God's love, accepting God's gift of salvation and choosing God's path for a lifetime!

Our children's ministry goals at First Baptist Church are:

·         To provide a safe, nurturing environment so that parents can rest assured that our children's ministry is a positive place where children can go to learn more about Jesus Christ.

·         To teach each child the truths contained in the Word of God, and teach them to explore these truths for themselves.

·         To disciple and train children and help them grow in their understanding of and relationship with God.

·         To share God's Word with relevant curriculum, which emphasizes both solid Biblical content and fun!

·         To introduce children to missions and the excitement and adventure of a life that is dedicated to serving God.

We offer a variety of programs for children from Nursery through 5^th grade.

Sunday Morning:

9:15     Sunday School for children of all ages

A place to learn Biblical truths in an age-appropriate environment

10:30   Kids in Worship (3K - 5K and 1^st - 3^rd grade)

A multi-media worship experience that will teach children how to praise God and learn from His Word

Sunday Nights (September - May)

6:00     Kids On Mission (3K - 5^th grade)

Through videos of international locations, kids will see God at work and learn how to be on mission for Him as they participate in missions projects.

Wednesday Nights (September - May):

6:15     Kids 4 Truth (3K - 5^th grade)

An interactive program to teach important truths about God and His Word

Special Events:

Throughout the year, the church sponsors events for children. Some highlights include Vacation Bible School in the summer, a Back-to-School Waterworks Party in August, Trunk or Treat in October and an Easter Egg Hunt.
